Midtown’s Sustain restaurant shutters

Sustain Restaurant + Bar in Miami’s Midtown neighborhood is closing its doors after less than two years, according to the Miami New Times. The eatery, which was part of a wave of new restaurants in Midtown that included Sugarcane, Mercadito and others, focused on locally-sourced produce. According to the New Times, the restaurant “never seemed to be as busy as neighbor Sugarcane, which regularly has people spilling out onto the street.” The 3,200-square-foot space was part of a wave of Miami restaurants looking to maximize value from smaller spaces.  [Miami New Times]
