Palm Beach price growth among strongest in the United States

Palm Beach County has shown some of the strongest year-over-year median home price gains in the nation, according to data from ZipRealty, a national real estate brokerage. Median prices increased 22 percent to nearly $153,400 in Palm Beach, from 2011 to the end of 2012, right behind San Francisco Bay Area markets in terms of growth.

Of the top ten biggest median home price increases, Palm Beach ranked fifth, behind: San Francisco, the East Bay area of San Francisco, Tampa, Silicon Valley and Phoenix, which took the top position with a 36 percent year-over-year price increase. —Christopher Cameron
