Mixed-use destination heads to Pompano Beach

A developer will pay about $20 million to build a mixed-use shopping and dining attraction on six acres in Pompano Beach, the Sun Sentinel reported.

Redevelopment Management Associates will spearhead the development, which aims to transform the area in the vein of Delray Beach’s Atlantic Avenue, the paper said.

“It’s been many years since private development has been on the beach,” Kim Briesemeister, who works with RMA, told the Sun Sentinel. “This [area has] sat fallow for years.” [Sun Sentinel] –Guelda Voien
