Genting Group’s plan to bring a mixed-use casino to 30 acres adjacent to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Miami, will not be affected by the firm’s recent $350 million purchase of 87 acres in Las Vegas, the South Florida Business Journal reported.

Resorts World Miami president Richard Goode responded to concerns that the Vegas project would siphon resources away from the Miami one, saying, “Not at all. We are moving forward with our Miami project as a standalone project.”
