The county currently replenishes its eroded beaches with offshore supplies of sand. The corps, who conducted a study on Florida’s sand needs, is looking for supplies farther offshore, even in other countries, the public radio news affiliate said.

The corps is holding public meetings every day this week in different South Florida locations. [WLRN]Emily Schmall
