Serena Williams buys parcel at Bear’s Club in Jupiter

Tennis champ Serena Williams paid $4.1 million for an out-of-the-way Jupiter site on 2.4 acres at Jack Nicklaus’ golf-pro development known as the Bear’s Club, according to property records filed late last month.

The home site at 152 Bear’s Club Drive, near Donald Ross Road, is called Lot 61. The neighborhood is located around the 370-acre members-only country club. The deed was recorded in Palm Beach County on Friday.

In June, Williams sold a five-bedroom house at 122 Tranquila Drive at Palm Beach for $595,000, taking a $105,000 hit, as previously reported. [Daily Business Review] — Mark Maurer
