Design District project resumes without Cymbal

Citing multiple breaches of contract, the owner of the Design41 site in Miami has dropped Asi Cymbal as developer of the mixed-use project.

The law firm representing property owner Design District Development Partners says the contract with Cymbal has been terminated, South Florida Business Journal reported. Cymbal Development, operating as general contractor A&C Builders, filed a lawsuit to foreclose on a $1.2 million construction lien on the 112 NE 41st Street property in September. Design District Development countersued with hopes of removing Cymbal from the project.
