Industrial broker joins Cresa South Florida

Industrial broker Sky Groden has joined Cresa South Florida after nearly 20 years at Cushman & Wakefield.

Groden is Cresa’s new principal of industrial advisory services, according to a company announcement. He arrives at a time when the firm hopes to expand its industrial practice. Cresa arranged a 220,000-square-foot lease with Starboard Cruise Services in Miami-Dade County’s largest industrial lease of 2013.

As Cushman’s executive director, Groden primarily represented public real estate investment trusts in leases with their industrial tenants. Cresa represents tenants in real estate transactions.

“I’ve forged strong relationships with tenant occupiers in recent years,” Groden said in Cresa’s announcement. “The industrial business is moving toward ownership relying more on in-house representation.” — Eric Kalis
