Recycling mogul Anthony Lomangino has sold a Palm Beach Gardens mansion for $9 million, The Real Deal has learned.

The Southern Waste Systems founder closed the sale of the 12411 Hautree Court home on Feb. 18, according to Palm Beach County records. The county recorded the transaction Thursday. The mansion is located in the Old Palm Golf Club community.

Doug and Terry Chandler of Carlsbad, N.M. are the buyers. They did not obtain financing for the purchase.

Before launching Davie-based Southern Waste, Lomangino oversaw the formation and growth of New York-based Star Recycling, which was eventually sold to industry giant Waste Management. He paid $1.6 million for the one-acre Old Palm property in December 2006 and constructed a nearly 15,000-square-foot, five-bedroom mansion. — Eric Kalis
