Broward Bank of Commerce to move, open new branch

Fort Lauderdale-based Broward Bank of Commerce may be gearing up to move its headquarters and open a third branch after filing an application with regulators.

According to the filing with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., spotted by the South Florida Business Journal, the bank could move from 101 Northeast Third Avenue, Suite 2100 — the upper floors of an office building — to 501 Southeast 12th Street.

The bank also asked the FDIC for the approval of a new branch at 1508 East Las Olas Boulevard – a high profile street location. Broward Bank of Commerce President and CEO Keith Costello declined comment when reached by the Journal. [SFBJ] – Christopher Cameron
