Miami Beach compound to be rented out
After completing a $32 million renovation, the owner of a Miami Beach compound is now looking for a renter, The Real Deal has learned.
The 15,300-square-foot 4949 Pinetree Drive mansion is set to be listed for rent today with an asking rate of $200,000 per month. S.S Kresge, the late Kmart founder, once used the Mediterranean Revival home as a summer residence. It is currently owned by M.C. Dean CEO Bill Dean, according to Miami-Dade County records.
When Kresge owned it, the home had six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Following Dean’s renovation, it now has 11 bedrooms, 13 full bathrooms and nine half-baths. Other features include a spa wing, gym, volleyball and tennis courts, grotto and pagoda-style pool house that functions as a small nightclub.
The compound “would make The Great Gatsby blush,” said David Veit, a luxury real estate specialist at Zilbert International Realty. Veit is handling the rental listing.
