Retired football star Ray Lewis sold his oceanfront Highland Beach estate for nearly $4.8 million.
The former Miami Hurricanes and Baltimore Ravens linebacker took a $400,000 loss on the April 7 sale of the 3573 South Ocean Boulevard home, according to Palm Beach County records. Lewis paid more than $5.2 million for the 6,788-square-foot residence in March 2004. The county recorded the sale on Tuesday.
Lewis, who retired after the Ravens won the Super Bowl in January 2013, listed the home for sale at about $5 million, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Built in 2001, the seven-bedroom house has a five-car garage, a nearly 1,100-square-foot patio and a swimming pool. — Eric Kalis
