Zilbert set to open new Miami Beach office

Zilbert International Realty just signed a lease to open a second Miami Beach office on the ground floor of the Continuum complex, The Real Deal has learned.

The brokerage is set to occupy nearly 2,000 square feet at the 40 South Pointe Drive location, company president and CEO Mark Zilbert told TRD. Continuum South Beach Realty previously used the space. Zilbert expects to have about 15 agents and three administrative staffers at the location, which is being dubbed the “Zilbert Realty Store.”

“I modeled this after the Apple stores,” Zilbert said. “This is all about bringing in customers and setting up and interactive experience. It’s much less an office than a retail center.”

Zilbert plans to keep the company’s 1129 Fifth Street office open. The company is also looking into future office locations in Brickell, Fort Lauderdale, Sunny Isles Beach and Weston.

The brokerage reported $353 million in real estate sales in 2013.
