Real estate mogul files another lawsuit against Wellington

Real estate mogul Glenn Straub has filed yet another lawsuit against Wellington over the Big Blue cypress preserve.

Straub alleges that the Wellington-run Acme Improvement District pumped more than 100 million gallons of water into the 91-acre preserve over a 15-day period, which caused flooding on 20 acres of Straub’s Palm Beach Polo and Country Club, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Previously, Straub filed a separate lawsuit against Wellington over who is responsible for the upkeep of the protected area — Straub or the village.

A permit from the South Florida Water Management District mandates water levels in the Big Blue preserve and Straub alleges that Acme is discharging water at levels that exceed the permit. [PBP] – Christopher Cameron
