GL Homes picked up nearly 102 acres of farmland in western Palm Beach County’s Agricultural Reserve.

The Sunrise-based homebuilder acquired the 8683 Boynton Beach Boulevard land in two deals. GL gave the William Chinnick Charitable Foundation about $6.3 million for 53.4 acres and paid Holland, Mich.-based Swaney Properties about $5.7 million for 48.5 acres.

GL is presently selling homes at the Canyon Trails and Valencia Cove projects near the Agricultural Reserve, according to the South Florida Business Journal. Metrostudy data shows the company sold 528 South Florida houses between March 2013 and March 2014. [South Florida Business Journal]Eric Kalis
