An oceanfront mansion in Golden Beach changed hands for $22.5 million, The Real Deal has learned.

Joel and Marcia Hochberg sold the 11,722-square-foot home at 317 Ocean Boulevard in a transaction that set an oceanfront single-family pricing record for Golden Beach, according to SBI Realty broker Diane Lieberman, who represented the buyer. Lieberman declined to disclose the buyer’s identity. The transaction has not been recorded by Miami-Dade County.

The Hochbergs paid $2.4 million for the property in 1998. The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion was completed in 2002. Features include a gym, swimming pool with an outdoor entertainment area and a guest house.

“We are in a very strong luxury market,” Lieberman said.

Notable Golden Beach homeowners include fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger and former baseball star Sammy Sosa. Hilfiger’s 605 Ocean Boulevard residence was featured in the September edition of Architectural Digest.
