Ascend Properties breaks ground in Wilton Manors

A $35 million luxury rental apartment complex called Metropolitan is underway.

The developer, Ascend Properties, broke ground on Tuesday at 1224 Northeast 24th Street, according to the Sun-Sentinel. The site is a former trailer park that has racked up code violations and has been considered something of an eyesore by the town. Metropolitan will have 179 units with studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts. Rents will range from $850 to $2,900.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2015 or early 2016 and feature resort-quality amenities. [Sun-Sentinel] – Jennifer White Karp
