Metro 1 expands to Broward

Metro 1 Commercial, an urban Miami brokerage, is branching out to Broward County and has Palm Beach County in its sights, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

The company has 25 listings in Broward and is seeking office space and looking to add more brokers there. Tony Cho, president of the brokerage, told the publication that he plans to eventually expand Metro 1 to all three counties.

The brokerage is on target for about $300 million in sales this year and likely to triple the amount of commercial space it manages, Cho said.

Broward’s urban areas are ripe for redevelopment, particularly along the eastern corridor of the Florida East Coast railway, is well-suited for transit-oriented development, he said. [South Florida Business Journal]  – Jennifer White Karp
