Real estate in Palm Beach County is on the upswing, with sales and prices showing gains.

According to the Palm Beach Post, which cited a report from the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches, sales of single-family homes increased 19 percent in October from the previous year. Prices grew 2 percent.

The median sale price of $275,000 was a gain from the previous month of $269,000, the article said. Inventory of single-family homes rose 14 percent to 5.7 months from a year ago.
