Avison Young to open Coral Gables office

Avison Young is moving to a new office in Coral Gables following its acquisition of Colliers International South Florida.

The company is opening a Miami office at 2020 Ponce de Leon Boulevard on the 12th floor. Avison Young acquired Abood Wood Fay, formerly Colliers International South Florida, on Dec. 1.

Meanwhile Colliers International announced this week that it’s adding 17 people to its South Florida offices, some of whom chose to stay with the company instead of joining Avison Young.

Avison Young principal Donna Abood said the timing was right for the new office. “We took advantage of the opportunity to make this move and house our Miami office in a building that reflects Miami and Coral Gables all at the same time, with a beautiful blending of Mediterranean and modernism design,” she said in a news release.

“We are thrilled with this decision and are looking forward to operating our business at 2020 Ponce beginning next spring.” Avison is also the sales and leasing agent for the Ponce de Leon property. – Katherine Kallergis
