A $70 million patient care and medical research facility is coming to Jupiter.

The Institute for Healthy Living, a 235,000-square foot facility, was approved by the Jupiter Town Council, according to a published report.

Palm Beach Gardens-based NuVista Living will develop the property, which is in the Abacoa area near Florida Atlantic University, the Scripps Research Institute and the Max Planck Institute. NuVista also owns a senior care facility in Wellington, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

The facility will have 129 nursing home beds, 70 assisted-living beds and 30 beds for neurological disorder patients. [South Florida Business Journal] — Katherine Kallergis
