A waterfront office building in North Bay Village traded for more than double its last sale in 2012.

Coral Gables-based Cofe Properties sold the 2.7-acre property for $13.8 million to Sunbeam Properties. Miami Beach-based Sunbeam Properties, affiliated with Sunbeam Television, is led by billionaire Edmund Ansin.

The 75,295-square-foot office building and adjacent lot last sold for $6.8 million in 2012, Miami-Dade property records show. A mortgage was not recorded for the site, located at 1400 79th Street Causeway.

Last year, Sunbeam withdrew a foreclosure lawsuit it had filed against a nearby property’s owners. The dispute was over a $4.8 million mortgage, after plans for a nightclub became plans for a condo project designed by Kobi Karp. Both sites neighbor WSVN Channel 7’s studios.
