The seller was DSL Construction & Investors, managed by Frank DeLucas.

In September, the Surtains sold a bigger home in Weston, an 11,975-square-foot residence in the Windmill Ranch Estates neighborhood. Proceeds from the sale totaled $4.15 million.

Before finishing his pro football career in 2009 with the Kansas City Chiefs, Surtain played the cornerback position for the Miami Dolphins from 1998 to 2004. He played in the annual Pro Bowl three times during his tenure with the Dolphins. [South Florida Business Journal] — Mike Seemuth
