Poonam Khubani re-lists W South Beach penthouse for $19.9M

Bollywood actress and producer Poonam Khubani has re-listed her W South Beach double penthouse for $19.9 million, The Real Deal has learned.

Khubani, vice president of infomercial and product patent firm Telebrands, originally put the double-unit on the market for the same price in July of last year. It was listed with Coldwell Banker’s William P.D. Pierce for about six months before the listing was taken down.

Now, listing agents Jeff Miller and Mark Zilbert, of Brown Harris Stevens | Zilbert, are marketing the penthouse, a four-bedroom, five-bathroom residence at 2201 Collins Avenue, for sale at $5,535 per square foot.

Miller told TRD that the owners purchased the unit, a combination of four floor plans, from the developer in the preconstruction phase. Miller would not disclose the owner’s identity, but said that they live in the unit while in Miami – including now, for Art Basel.

In October, Khubani listed her penthouse at the swanky Miami Beach Edition for $27.5 million, roughly nine months after she first purchased it.

The W penthouse, a combination of units 1926 and 1928, was designed by Steven G. and is being listed fully furnished and equipped, Miller said. It includes a smart home system, automated shades, marble bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows.

“It’s the only full oceanfront unit available at the W,” he said. “Full frontage like that is one of a kind.”

Amenities at the W include room service, housekeeping, beach and pool service, and access to five bars and three restaurants. The 20-story condo-hotel was developed by TriStar Capital, Related Group and Starwood. It was designed by Nichols Brosch Sandoval and Costas Kondylis and completed in 2008, according to BHS | Zilbert’s website. Out of 511 condo units, 33 are for sale, with prices starting at $890,000.
