Suffolk Construction obtained a certificate of occupancy (CO) for the first building at a luxury condo development in Bradenton, and developer Minto Communities opened two model units.

The condo development, called Marina Walk Resort Villas, is in the Harbour Isle neighborhood of Bradenton on a 220-acre site almost entirely surrounded by water. It is bordered on the west by Anna Maria Sound and on the east by Perico Bayou.

Unit prices range upward from the $500,000s, according to Minto’s website.

The  Minto development comprises four condo buildings with 12 units each. The units range in size 1,483 square feet to 1,650 square feet. Common-area amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, shade pavilion and recreation area.

Suffolk had topped off the first building at Marina Walk in early March.

Josh Christensen, vice president of West Coast Florida Operations for Suffolk, said in a press release that Suffolk uses a technology called building information modeling, or BIM, to build projects virtually prior to groundbreaking  to minimize project risks.
