With $70 million worth of construction financing in hand, developer NR Investments has completed the foundation for its upcoming Canvas condominium in Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District and is shooting for a February 2018 completion date.

Concrete trucks ferried 230 loads over an eight-hour period starting at 6 a.m., pouring a total of roughly 2,000 yards of concrete. The developer broke ground on its 513-unit tower in February and has since brought its sales up to about 62 percent. Its estimated sellout is $221 million.

Headed by Ron Gottesman and Nir Shoshani, NR Investments is a private real estate company based out of Miami that owns three properties in the A&E neighborhood, including the Canvas site. The firm developed the Filling Station Lofts and also owns a one-acre parcel it is eyeing for a mixed-use development.
