June home sales in the Naples Area fell 5 percent from last year while pending sales dropped 19 percent, the Naples Area Board of Realtors reported.

June sales of single-family houses and condominium units in the Naples Area fell to 821 this year from 868 last year.

Pending sales of houses and condos in June totaled 711, compared to 874 last year.

June home sales were unchanged in the Immolakee/Ave Maria area. They declined 2 percent in East Naples, 9 percent in North Naples, 11 percent in South Naples, 16 percent in Central Naples and 19 percent in Naples Beach.

The June inventory of Naples-area homes listed for sale increased 35 percent to 4,916 from 3,640 last year.

The median price of a closed home sales in June was $312,000, down 1 percent from $315,000 in June 2015.

“Sellers who anticipated a continued increase in the value of their homes are getting a dose of new reality,” Cindy Carroll, of real estate appraisal and consultancy firm Carroll & Carroll, Inc. said in a written statement.
