On the scene at SLS Lux’s sales party: PHOTOS

To celebrate sales for their upcoming SLS Lux condo project in Brickell, developers Allen Morris Company and the Related Group hosted a private cocktail soiree at Brickell City Centre’s newly opened EAST, Miami hotel for brokers and VIP guests alike.

The cocktail party was hosted at EAST’s Sugar lounge, located at the 40th floor overlooking much of the development boom that’s swept over the Brickell area. Besides project executives like Allen Morris from the Allen Morris Company and Javier Cuadros of Related, dozens of agents showed up to schmooze and enjoy free food and strong drinks.

Across the street, construction is chugging along at 58-story SLS Lux project, which is slated for completion next year.

Related and Morris held the event to congratulate the brokers for helping it nearly fully sell the 450-unit project, which now has only 10 units left after launching sales in mid-2014.

Part of that momentum is thanks to Related’s aggressive marketing for SLS: the developer both boosted agent commissions to 10 percent and slashed deposit requirements to 30 percent last year, hoping to drum up business and clear out the project’s remaining inventory.
