A 1,784-acre cattle operation and exotic game preserve west of Fort Pierce sold for $8.29 million, or $4,646 per acre.

The property, called Red Stag Sanctuary, is home to turkeys and native whitetail deer.

Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate (CBCSRE)  brokered the July 22 sale.

The seller is Sunbreak Farms South, LLC, and the buyer is HCG Smith Ranch, LLC.

Dean Saunders, owner/broker of CBCSRE, and  associate broker Brian Beasley represented the seller. Bret Dubois of DuBois Real Estate Inc. represented the buyer.

CBCSRE also announced the $2.1 million sale of another agricultural property in southern Hendry County called Little Cypress, a 640-acre former citrus grove.

The buyer, Sunshine Citrus Growers, LLC, bought the land July 27  and plans to clear it for row crop farming.  MLIC Asset Holdings, LLC, sold the land for $3,281 per acre.
