A newly built, 8,000-square-foot house in Pinecrest sold for $5.5 million, the highest-priced house sale in so far this year in Pinecrest.
A family moving to South Florida from Central America paid $655 per square foot in cash for the house at 9701 Southwest 63 Court, which had been on the market for three months.
Tony Rodriguez-Tellaheche, co-founder and broker of Prestige Realty Group, represented the sellers, Giorgio and Adi Balli, who paid $1 million for house’s the 40,510-square-foot lot in 2014.
The house they built there has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, one half bathroom, a wine cellar for as many as 400 bottles, a home theater and an outdoor kitchen.
The property also features a lap pool, a sauna in the master bathroom, an indoor courtyard with a waterfall, limestone floors, and a three-car garage.
Rodriguez-Tellaheche told the Miami Herald that the residential real estate market in Pinecrest has been growing since 2011 and “there is currently a strong demand for new construction homes in the $4 million-$6 million range.”
