One Sotheby’s spins commercial division into new company

One Sotheby’s International Realty is branching out and launching its own commercial real estate company.

Anna Rossie-Alvarez will lead the company, One Commercial, as its director, according to a press release.

One Sotheby’s brought Rossie-Alvarez on from Cushman & Wakefield last year to grow its niche commercial practices. At Cushman, she was a senior director of operations.

One Commerical has also hired Angie Ki, previously chief business development officer with American Da Tang Realty, former financial adviser Mark Prillaman, Dailany Pena, formerly with Engel and Volkers, and One Sotheby’s agent Avidan Edelsberg, a senior commercial adviser.

Ki’s experience includes development, acquisitions and direct foreign investments. She’s now a senior adviser for the Asia-Pacific region, according the release. Before American Da Tang, she worked as an adviser for EB5 Affiliate Networks Regional Centers, a company that sponsors development projects funded by Chinese and other foreign investors seeking permanent U.S. residency.

Prillaman has worked in senior management roles at Transamerica, Lincoln Financial, London Pacific Life and ING.

Based in Brickell, the new company will expand on all aspects, including retail, office, industrial and hospitality. Recent deals include the $10.7 million sale of the Miramar apartments in Little Havana and a commercial space in the Design District that sold for $7 million. – Katherine Kallergis
