Despite the busy holiday season, South Florida real estate professionals are finding time to make their next career moves.

Melissa Tamuz returned to Miami-based ISG World as the brokerage’s director of marketing, according to an announcement from the company. Tamuz previously worked at ISG as a marketing coordinator, and spent the past four years as chief marketing officer of Aclaró, a Miami-based blockchain startup.

In her new role, Tamuz will lead ISG’s in-house creative team, and head the firm’s branding and communications strategies, the release said.

Tamuz’s return to ISG follows a string of significant personnel shifts at the company as it has pushed to expand in South American markets. DaGrosa Capital bought a stake in the firm last year, and since then the company brought in Christian Fernandez as chief sales officer and promoted Daniel Castañeda to senior vice president of international sales.

Austin-based commercial real estate debt and equity service Northmarq is also looking to expand. The firm hired three executives from CBRE to anchor its Miami operations: Jaspaul Kapoor as senior vice president, and Garrett Stasand and David Henney as vice presidents for South Florida.

The trio will be responsible for Northmarq’s debt and equity financing of commercial and multifamily projects in South Florida, according to a press release.

Kapoor joins Northmarq after nearly six years as a vice president of debt and structured finance at CBRE in Los Angeles. Henney also held a vice president role in CBRE’s Los Angeles office, and Stasand left his role as a vice president in CBRE’s Phoenix office to join Northmarq.

Another out-of-town firm continues to edge its way into the South Florida real estate scene. San Francisco-based Side is backing broker Sandra Debuire in the launch of Debuire International Realty.

Debuire had been with Coldwell Banker Realty since 2018, according to LinkedIn. Debuire refused an offer to join Compass before meeting Side founder Guy Gal last year, she said.

Jerome Cherki, Gabriella Colon, Donnie Pingaro, Ana Cristina Rodriguez, Alex Moein, and Travis Dahlke join the Debuire International Realty team.

Side has wooed a number of South Florida brokers in recent months, including Jose Medina, Dexter Brandao, Marco Tiné, and Alyssa Morgan.
