Movers & Shakers: Colliers brings in EVP, One Sotheby’s taps chief growth officer

Plus: Skanska promoted Florida SVP of operations to national role

It might be summer break for schools, but South Florida’s real estate hiring is still in session.

Toronto-based Colliers continued its streak of bulking up on top executives in South Florida, bringing in Scott Brenner as EVP, according to a press release. Brenner will be based in the firm’s Boca Raton office, and will focus on advisory and transaction services, according to the release.

Brenner is the latest in a string of Florida-based Colliers hires in the past year. He joins Marc Fetcher, Ana Paula, Sam Azar, and Gary Gottlieb in the region. Brenner was previously an EVP with CBRE, also in Boca Raton, his LinkedIn shows. He also heads his own development firm, Brenner Development Group. 

One Sotheby’s International Realty promoted Taylor Travaglione to chief growth officer, according to a press release. Travaglione will lead the firm’s efforts to recruit agents and acquire other brokerages.

Travaglione’s previous experience includes four years with the sports and entertainment division at Compass, his LinkedIn shows. He steps into the growth role at One Sotheby’s following the brokerage’s expansionary moves under the leadership of Daniel de la Vega. Last month, the firm’s plans for a new headquarters building went before the Coral Gables Development Review Committee. In April, the brokerage acquired Podium Realty Group, a firm specializing in Brazilian buyers.

Skanska promoted its SVP of operations in Florida to a national position, a press release shows. Graeme Kelly will now function as the national director of quality assurance and quality control, while maintaining his role in Florida, according to the release. 

Kelly has been in his current role with Skanska since 2016, LinkedIn shows. He worked as a vice president of operations with Skanska beginning in 1999, leaving the company for a two-year stint at Saudi Arabia-based Abdul Latif Jameel Real Estate Investment Company, according to LinkedIn.
