Luxury buyers are upgrading homes in sales this summer

South Florida luxury buyers are making a splash this summer. 

Dr. Armin Oskuei sold his Lighthouse Point mansion for $9.5 million earlier this month. The founder of Georgia-based Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians sold the house at 2388 Northeast 30 Court to Andrew Teo and Tatiana Arteaga Teo, records show. Andrew Teo is the son of plastics mogul Alfred Teo, who was charged in a $61 million tax evasion scheme in 2020, according to the Department of Justice.

Senada Adzem of Douglas Elliman had the listing, and Tinka Ellington of Douglas Elliman brought the buyer. 

Oskuei bought the 0.6-acre Lighthouse Point home for $5 million in 2017, records show. Built in 2005, the 8,800-square-foot mansion spans eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three half-bathrooms and 400 feet of waterfront, according to the listing.

The deed links Oskuei to the $19.8 million purchase of the 10,600-square-foot mansion at 136 Bears Club Drive in Jupiter in March. 

John D. Desprez III, CEO of Delray Beach-based Insperex, sold a waterfront Highland Beach home for $9.8 million and bought a waterfront Delray Beach spec mansion for $13.1 million in a pair of transactions this month.

Desprez sold the 7,500-square-foot house at 2348 South Ocean Boulevard in Highland Beach to Rebecca Graff, records show. 

Candace and Phillip Friis of the Corcoran Group represented both the buyer and the seller in the sale.

Built in 2001 on 0.4 acres, the home includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms, records show. Desprez bought it for $5.2 million in 2015, records show. He first listed it for $10.5 million in February, Redfin shows. 

Desprez bought the 0.3-acre spec mansion in Delray Beach from Azure 316 North Ocean LLC, an affiliate of Brian Grossberg’s Azure Development, records show. A previous listing for the home shows it will span 12,00 square feet, and include five bedrooms and six bathrooms. 

Cumberland Farms scion Byron Haseotes Jr. and Tiffany Haseotes sold their waterfront Boca Raton mansion for $15 million.

The Haseotes sold the house at 310 East Alexander Palm Road in Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club to Skyline Stewardship Realty Trust, with Daniel P. Carbonneau signed on behalf of the buyer, according to records. 

Jonathan Postma of Coldwell Banker had the listing, and Scott Eckert of RPE Realty brought the buyer.

Byron Haseotes Jr. is the grandson of Cumberland Farms founder Vasilios Haseotes. He and his wife Tiffany bought the Royal Palm mansion for $11.1 million in 2020. Built that year, it’s 8,300 square feet, with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. The property also has a pool and a dock, according to the listing. 

The Haseotes first listed it for $22.5 million in February.
