Palm Beach County condo sales jump in February to $266M

Number of closings rose to 533 from 440 in January

Palm Beach County’s condo sales and dollar volume rose in February.

February condo sales totaled $266 million, above the $243 million in January. Brokers closed 533 sales last month, up from 440 sales in January and down from 538 sales in December, Multiple Listing Service data from Redfin show.

February sale prices ranged from $65,000 to $6 million, with a median sale price of $280,000. The price per square foot ranged from $65 to $2,675, with a median of $246 per square foot.

In January, sales closed with a median price of $280,000, and $244 per square foot.

A $6 million closing at Ocean Delray took the title of the priciest sale last month. Unit 9 at 1901 South Ocean Boulevard in Delray Beach sold for $1,567 per square foot after 107 days on the market. Jenna Steffens with Douglas Elliman (Palm Beach) had the listing, and Wilhelm Nash with Illustrated Properties represented the buyer.

The sale price was lower than January’s priciest sale. Unit 202 at 725 South Ocean Boulevard in Boca Raton sold for $8.3 million — or $1,962 per square foot. 

In contrast, February’s cheapest sale was unit 5 at Lake Clarke Gardens in Lake Worth, at 2687 North Garden Drive. The unit traded for $65,000 — or $87 per square foot — after 187 days on the market. Sharon Tocket with Gracious Homes Realty had the listing. Alex Ordonez with Compass Florida represented the buyer.
