Elliman’s South Florida agents dominate brokerage’s national awards

Dina Goldentayer, Chris Leavitt, Ashley McIntosh and Eklund-Gomes Team won national Ellies

Champagne is popping in South Florida, especially for Douglas Elliman’s top agents. 

The brokerage announced its annual Ellie Awards, and agents in the tri-county region won big. New South Florida resident Fredrik Eklund and his business partner John Gomes’ Eklund-Gomes team closed more than $1 billion in sales last year, marking the team’s third consecutive year in Elliman’s Billion Dollar Club. It also won the brokerage’s Ellie award for top mega team nationwide, according to a press release. 

Miami Beach powerhouse Dina Goldentayer took home the title for top individual agent nationally for the second year in a row. Goldentayer closed nearly $285 million in on-market deals, according to TRD’s latest ranking of agents in Miami-Dade County. Goldentayer, who represented Jeff Bezos in his $79 million Indian Creek Village purchase last year, also won the top spots for individual Florida agents in the gross commission income (GCI) and volume categories. 

Maria Mendelsohn, one of the top agents in the equestrian village Wellington, netted titles in those categories as well. Mendelsohn placed third nationally, third in volume and second in GCI, the release shows. She closed more than $116 million in on-market deals, TRD’s 2023 Palm Beach County broker ranking shows.

Palm Beach agent Gary Pohrer, who recently teamed up with Nick Malinosky and Devin Kay to launch the Exclusive Group, ranked fifth nationally, second in volume and third in GCI. He closed $184 million in on-market deals, according to TRD’s ranking. 

David Siddon’s Miami-based David Siddons Group clinched the top national spot for large teams, and won second for GCI and third for volume in Florida.

Chris Leavitt and Ashley McIntosh’s Leavitt McIntosh Team was Elliman’s top medium team nationally. The Palm Beach team was the No. 1 team in Florida for volume and GCI as well. They closed $267 million in on-market deals, according to TRD’s 2023 ranking. 

The Miami-based Keith Aronoff Team, led by Aronoff, won the national title for small teams, and placed second for GCI and sixth for volume in Florida.
