State panel considers property tax relief

Florida’s Taxation and Budget Reform Commission is considering today which, if either, of two major property tax relief proposals should be on the ballot in November. One option would cut property tax by about 25 percent, with the lost revenue replaced in other ways, like a sales tax increase.
