Wellington approves retail, office project

Wellington Village Council unanimously approved a 16-acre commercial development proposal planned for a strip of U.S. 441. W&W V LLC is developing the project, called Village Green Center, which will bring 365,900 square feet of office and retail space to the town. The plan approved calls for 137,000 square feet of shops and restaurants, despite previous statements from the council that the town already has enough retail space.
