Three town boards review Royal Poinciana development plans
Three Palm Beach boards will review the master plans of two proposals for development of the Royal Poinciana Way area at a meeting on Wednesday. The street at the town’s northern gateway is facing redevelopment pressure, and town officials want a coherent, unified plan to revitalize the Royal Poinciana Plaza, which is failing as a retail center. The three groups — Architectural Review, Landmarks Preservation and Planning and Zoning commission — will hold a joint meeting to look over one plan by the Stuart-based Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council and another by the University of Miami School of Architecture’s Historical Preservation Studio in concert with the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach.
