Short term rentals of single-family homes in Miami Beach will be more closely scrutinized if a new law is passed by the City Commission in an October vote. The Miami Beach Planning Board members recommended that residents be allowed to rent out their homes three times a year, for a minimum of three months each time. The city currently forbids rentals for less than six months at a time. The short-term rental rule will affect only single-family homes, not condominiums or apartment buildings.
