Commission split creates rift

Last year, John Freeland set up Palm Beach Realty Advisors to become a
major player in West Palm Beach. Agents weren’t as receptive to the
50-50 commission split Palm Beach Realty offered, which compares to a
standard 70-30 split throughout the region. Freeland has backtracked a
bit, and now offers 75 percent and 100 percent splits. He has signed up
45 agents so far.
