Commissioner targets Miramar homeowner woes

Barbara Sharief, the newest city commissioner in Miramar, said she wants to enlist lawyers and mortgage brokers to assist residents with foreclosure issues and promote a job readiness program for residents caught in the economic slump. She said her bruising electoral campaign needs to be put in the past and that the city needs to present a unified response to the ongoing recession.
