Casa Casuarina to open as a nightclub

August 10, 2009 04:10PM

South Beach’s former Gianni Versace mansion will open as a nightclub following a change of control. Fort Lauderdale attorney and investor Scott Rothstein purchased a stake in the property from owner Peter Loftin. The deal, which closed two weeks ago, gives Rothstein control over operations at the property. Rothstein’s plans for the mansion, called Casa Casuarina, are modeled after Bova Ristorante, a Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton restaurant chain in which Rothstein is a partner.
