Former developer Jeff Greene has conceded the Democratic Senate primary
to Kendrick Meek, a Greene spokesperson said Tuesday night. Meek was called
the winner by the Associated Press just 15 minutes after the polls
closed in Pensacola. Greene had vowed to spend “whatever it takes,”
running on billions made largely on real estate investments. Neither Greene
nor Meek
had gone without scandal in the campaign, but it was Meek, 43, who
emerged victorious. Greene, 55, said he would endorse Meek and contribute to
his campaign. [Miami
