Federal money starts to help PBC

The millions of dollars of federal money funneled to Palm Beach County
through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program are finally starting to
make a difference. After a slow start 18 months ago, the program saw the
first home buyers move into formerly foreclosed properties this summer.
The general goal of the program is to buy empty homes, refurbish them
and then rent or sell them to buyers, hopefully reviving neighborhoods
hit hard by foreclosures. [Palm
