Behring Harvard buys in North Lauderdale

Texas-based commercial real estate firm Behringer Harvard has purchased the 560-unit Parrot’s Landing Apartments in North Lauderdale this week.

The firm did not disclose the value of the purchase, which consists of 24 three-story buildings. The firm acted as a co-investor with Grand Peaks Properties, a real estate firm, with Behringer taking a 90 percent
stake and the remainder going to Grand Peaks. Parrot’s Landing recently had an $8.4 million renovation that was just completed. [SFBJ]
