After a mobile home fire in Greenacres yesterday revealed the charred remains of a marijuana growhouse inside (see the video above), a trio of apparently coincidental fires broke out late last night and early this morning in buildings across the South Florida region, injuring one man and leaving five people homeless. The first blaze, at a two-story apartment building in West Palm Beach, erupted just before midnight and rendered three adults and two children in need of emergency shelter. In Hialeah, fire rescue officials suspect that a pre-dawn fire at an industrial warehouse was ignited when an overnight worker lit a cigarette that caused an explosion at around 5:00 a.m. The worker was taken to the hospital with burns over 16 percent of his body. Then, at 7:40 a.m., flames engulfed another industrial warehouse in the Little River section of Miami after a fire started underneath a truck parked outside. No one was injured.
