Israeli firm in Marquis bulk buy

Israeli-based Optibase has purchased 21 condo units at the Marquis
Residences in downtown Miami, a project developed by fellow Israeli firm
Africa Israel. Optibase, formerly a video technology company, said it
planned to hold the units as an investment or rent them in the short
term. Marquis, which is located at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard, recently
made news with its MyPad
ad campaign based on Apple’s iPad
. Along with downtown Miami tower
Icon, it has begun marketing
itself by throwing lavish parties
