Condo bureau has too many complaints

The state’s Bureau of Condominiums actually has a limited power to investigate
complaints. Like many government agencies, it is under-financed, meaning
it receives far more complaints than it can handle. The Florida
legislature recently placed an added restriction on the kinds of
complaints that can be investigated, and now the bureau’s jurisdiction
only involves financial issues, elections and unit owner access to
association funds. [Palm
