Paramount Bay, the troubled, 340-unit condominium in downtown Miami, finally has the financing it needs to complete construction after a foreclosure takeover by lender iStar and ST Residential. According to GlobeSt.com, the new owners have put up millions of dollars to finish the 47-story, mixed-use tower, and though they have not yet set an opening date, they have tapped brokerage Fortune International to market the residences, and the Comras Company to bring in retailers and restaurants. Among the amenities slated for Paramount Bay: a beach club, swimming pools, a waterfront promenade, full-service space and fitness center. [GlobeSt]

Everything they have showed me on what they want to do with the finishes is wonderful and different from anything you can see in the buildings in Miami. Actually, I am very happy they hired Fortune International as a sales and marketing because finally we have the project that we have been waiting for such a long time. This building is unique because each unit flows from front to back, so you get great air flow and every unit has that gorgeous unobstructed view of the bay over to Sobe.
My two concerns that will be hopefully addressed are: Will the new owners will put some money into cleaning up the bay in fromt of Paramount. The smell that wafts off that water is almost unbearable. Not sure I want to buy a unit there and have that smell breezing through my condo.
Also, hopefully, there will be no dogs allowed or a 25 pound limit. That area is peppered with dogs. The park is almost unuseable from the smell of dog piss.
Otherwise, it has the potential to be the best building in that area.
